Atons (Atons of Minneapolis)

Minneapolis, USA

The Atons were founded in 1972 as a gay men’s Leather/Levi social fraternity that is dedicated to promoting a positive image of our lifestyle through our various activities. As part of our mission, we work to encourage local, national and international fellowship, and we also work to foster both the unity and diversity of the leather community.

As a club, the Atons of Minneapolis host many different activities. These include monthly meetings, social events, and an annual banquet.

To encourage fellowship we hold events known as “runs.” These started as motorcycle road trips to visit members of clubs in other cities. Ours is a camp-out, to which we invite other clubs and members of the leather community from all across the nation for a weekend of fun and brotherhood. It is usually held on the third weekend of July.

The leather community is composed of unique individuals who have a wide variety of interests and desires. However, we share the common bond of our interest in leathersex and all that comes with it. The Atons reflect both the unity and diversity of the leather community, while seeking to encourage a unity within this diversity. As part of this, we sponsor a variety of fund raising events to bring the community together to express our identity and celebrate our culture. Proceeds from these events benefit both club functions and the larger gay community – including charitable organizations and AIDS services.

To ensure that we achieve our goals, we are always looking for a few good people to join us. If you would like to attend our events, or are interested in membership, please contact our

Conductors LL Club (Conductors Levi Leather Club)

Nashville, USA

The Conductors is one of the longest surviving gay social and service groups in the city, having been involved in Nashville's gay community for over 30 years.

We were established in 1982 by a group of friends who shared common interests in leather. Nashville’s gay community in the early 80’s, although thriving, was still small. Knowing that introducing leather boots, vests, and chaps into the nightlife of Nashville's bar scene was somewhat of a risk at the time, those first members recognized that it was vital for their acceptance and future to give something back to the community.

We have also worked with the bear community, MGRA rodeo, and KCPride on various projects and community outreach events. We look forward to helping out at future LGBT+ community opportunities.

In 2017, our group has added a brand new educational program to our events in an effort to reach out to people who are just discovering and exploring their interests in the Leather and BDSM communities. The Kansas City Pioneers are focused around the needs and desires of the LGBT+ community in this world of straps, boots, and floggers. We welcome everyone to our events and group memberships.

HIV prevention and care organizations and those that aid youth have always been of note.

All who support our cause may become members of ONYX. We thank the elders in the People of Color Leather Community for paving the way in order for us to exist. ONYX honors that tradition and looks forward to many more years.

ONYX Southeast

Atlanta, USA

ONYX is an organization formed and operated by Men of Color who enjoy the leather lifestyle. ONYX sets as its goal to provide an informational and social organization to address issues specific to people of color who chose to project the positive aspects of the leather lifestyle and support our community and economic initiatives.

Support, spirituality, safety and saneness are keys to attaining our goals. Toward this end, it is the principle aim of ONYX to develop in its members the highest standards of loyalty to the laws and established code of ONYX and to treat all in society with honor, unselfishness and tolerance.

It is the responsibility of each member to uphold the traditions, standards and practices of this organization as well as the time honored principles of democracy on which this country was built.

It is the fundamental belief of this organization that no finer means is offered for the achievement of these aims than the brotherly association of persons with similar tastes, inclinations and goals.

ONYX was founded in 1995 in Chicago to provide education, fraternization and serve as a bridge for Men of Color to the greater Leather community. Mufasa organized the founding members. The Founding Fathers of ONYX were: Mufasa, David M., Steve B., Nate G. and Wes G. They formed the first Board of Officers with Mufasa (President), Nate (Vice President), David (Pledge Master), Wes (Secretary) and Steve (Treasurer). ONYX’s first pledge was Bill H. and the colors were designed by ONYX brother Charles C. of Caliber Leathers.

ONYX has had a long standing reputation within the Leather Community with members nationwide and internationally. We are the longest existing Leather club for People of Color and are known for our hospitality and our infamous annual ONYX Leather Dance at International Mr. Leather Weekend in Chicago and our Gear Show/Cocktail party at Mid Atlantic Leather in Washington, DC. ONYX celebrates its bi-annual anniversary Weekend Run “BLACKOUT” hosted by one of our Nine Chapters!.

ONYX has always been involved in charity work. There are nine chapters: Midwest (based in Chicago), Southeast (based in Atlanta), Northeast (based in New York City), Mid-Atlantic (based in Washington, DC), Southwest (based in Los Angeles), Great Lakes (based in Cleveland and Detroit), Northwest (based in San Francisco), Lone Star (based in Dallas) and Deep South (based in Ft. Lauderdale) where each chapter is involved in contributing back to the Leather, LGBTQ and People of Color communities. HIV prevention and care organizations and those that aid youth have always been of note.

ONYX Southeast was founded in August 1999 to provide education, fraternization and serve as a bridge for Men of Color to the greater Atlanta Leather community. The Founding Fathers of ONYX Southeast are : Stan, EJ, Jamal, Reggie and Ric. Their first bar night was held at the Atlanta Eagle on the First Sunday in 1999. The bar night date would soon be switched and has remained the First Friday of each month since 2000. We are the most successful club night at the Atlanta Eagle with the legendary DJ – Ron Pullman with Pullman Soul!. Over the years, ONYX Southeast has connected with many Leather Clubs/Organizations and LGBTQ events throughout the Southeast including Southeast Conference of Clubs, Big Boy Pride, Central Alabama Pride, Leather to Geaux and many more!

ONYX-SE is a regional chapter of The Men of ONYX Inc., which is a National Organization. That means we exist as a chapter to a larger organization that is nationally governed. Our mission is the same as that of The Men of ONYX, Inc. and we hold true to the values and principles of the ONYX Men Code.

All who support our cause may become members of ONYX. We thank the elders in the People of Color Leather Community for paving the way in order for us to exist. ONYX honors that tradition and looks forward to many more years.

ONYX Southwest

Los Angeles, USA

The Southwest (ONYX-SW) chapter is centered in the Los Angeles/San Diego/Palm Springs areas and Southwestern states of Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, and Utah.

The first official beer bust was on August 9, 2015, at Eagle LA. The turnout was more than we could have imagined. It was clear to us there was a void in the Southwest region and ONYX was going to fill it. The chapter now serves as a bridge for Men of Color to the greater Leather community in this region. We have monthly beer bust the 2nd Sunday of every month at Eagle LA from 4 – 8 PM. The chapter had its first meeting on August 20, 2015, at Tom of Finland Foundation. Currently, monthly meetings are scheduled for the third Thursday of the month at The Village at Ed Gould Plaza in Los Angeles from 8:30 - 10:00 PM.

It was unanimously decided on September 20, 2015, at BLACKOUT Twenty to officially recognize ONYX Southwest as a fully established chapter in the Western Region. The Officers were announced and they are as follows: Scorpion ONYX (President), Jordan Frink (Vice President), Jeff Suede ONYX (Sergeant/Pledge Master), Ali Mushtaq (Secretary), Scorpion ONYX (Treasurer), and Stanford Altamirano (Historian).

ONYX-SW is a regional chapter of The Men of ONYX Inc., which is a National Organization. That means we exist as a chapter to a larger organization that is nationally governed. Our mission is the same as that of The Men of ONYX, Inc. and we hold true to the values and principles of the ONYX Men Code.

We have secured four major long-time sponsors for the chapter–KennyKG, The Fight Magazine, Tiger Lubricant, XR Brands and a host of contributing sponsors. We are community partners with the Los Angeles Leather Coalition (LALC) where we attend meetings the first Thursday of every month.

RECRUITMENT -- a men's leather club
Yes, we're looking for guys who are interested in the Leather Lifestyle and who are considering a fellowship of like-minded men. Being a dispersed club, we are not "in your face" -- we don't have lengthy, monthly meetings and sponsor countless events. We meet just four times a year, in various cities in the region and host one major event. Our club members are from all over the east coast, which makes our events so rewarding. When we meet and hang together we truly enjoy one another's company, friendship, loyalty, and companionship.
